Abstract
The digital age shaped by the Fourth Industrial Revolution represents a new era for management science. Today's businesses are restructuring their decision-making methods, leadership styles, and organizational cultures in line with the opportunities offered by digitalization. This book explores the concept of Management 4.0, which lies at the heart of this transformation, and comprehensively examines the new management paradigm emerging from digital transformation. In this context, Management 4.0 represents a data-centric, flexible, and network-based management approach shaped by human-technology interaction.
Drawing on the technological infrastructure of Industry 4.0, the book analyzes the historical evolution of management theories and systematically explains the transition from bureaucratic, process-oriented, and human-centered approaches to digital, flexible, and learning organizational structures. It also evaluates the impact of current concepts such as the information society, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity on organizational structures from a holistic perspective.
The book places the restructuring of the human dimension, employee competencies, and changes in leadership concepts, as well as technological transformation, at the center of management processes. In this respect, Management 4.0 presents the conceptual framework for a new management model that prioritizes human-technology interaction, supports data-based decision-making processes, and defines the managerial competencies required by the digital age.
For academics, researchers, managers, and students seeking a deeper understanding of the impact of digital transformation on management science, this work serves as both a conceptual reference source and a strategic guide for understanding the managerial transformation of the digital age.
